At 50, I did something I could never have done in my 20s and 30s; I felt confident in my body.

Ever since puberty, I had stood in front of mirrors and picked out every flaw.

But the day after I turned 50, I chose to flip that script.

I began to stand totally naked in front of my bedroom mirror and give myself compliments.

At first, all I could manage were halfhearted and neck-up. “Nice eyebrows, kid,” I’d tell myself, or “great lipstick color today.” Slowly, though, this began to change. I vibed Samantha from Sex and the City, Diane Lockhart from The Good Fight, and even Alex Levy on The Morning Show.

The data nerd in me said that I had little in common with these characters and that my body looked different than it used to. The numbers on the scale had climbed. I had cellulite in spots that used to not even be up for discussion, and just about all my perky parts drooped at least a little. But a larger voice inside my head was screaming, “Fuck that! You are who you are. Who the hell told you it was less than?! And why did you listen?? If you don’t let yourself feel great now, then when? Seriously. WHEN?”

And so I began to access a part of myself that felt fucking great and sexy as hell; a sparkly, intelligent, confident badass that my younger self could never have imagined feeling. And you know what? It felt fucking fabulous.

  • You don’t have to know a thing about posing or being in front of a camera. I’ll guide you through every step, from how to stand and move to how to relax your expression. Most clients are surprised by how natural and fun the experience feels.

  • Yes. Professional hair and makeup are included with every session. My goal is for you to feel gorgeous and confident before you step in front of the camera. We’ll choose a look that fits your personal style - polished, natural, or somewhere in between.

  • We’ll talk about wardrobe during your consultation call. You can bring several outfit options, and I’ll help you choose what photographs best. I usually recommend a mix of classic pieces, textured fabrics, and styles that make you feel confident and comfortable.

  • Sessions are held in my Studio located in the Dimond District in Oakland, California. The space is private, welcoming, and designed to help you feel at ease throughout the day.

  • Yes, your final images are gently retouched while keeping natural features intact. The goal is not to change how you look but to highlight your genuine beauty.

  • Of course. You’ll view your final images after your session and can decide then what you’d like to order. I offer museum-quality prints, custom albums, and wall art that will last a lifetime.

  • Portrait sessions start at $490. Your session includes professional hair and makeup, a fully guided photoshoot, and a private image reveal. Prints, albums, and digital collections are available separately. We’ll go over all pricing during your consultation call.
